Frequently Asked Questions:
How long will it take to groom my dog?
The average grooming session takes around 3 hours for each dog. However, more time may be needed for older dogs or those with special needs. A matted dog or those with thick coats will also require extra time. Some dogs may take less time, depending on the type of coat they have and the type of haircut or style they are getting.
Why does it take so long?
Before a dog is bathed, we clean their ears and trim and file their nails. The bathing and drying process is approximately 30 minutes to one hour. The grooming/hair-cutting process is approximately two hours- give or take.
We try to make sure that the bathing process is a relaxing time for your fur baby. There needs to be enough time to ensure that all shampoo & conditioner is massaged in and then properly washed completely out, A flea bath or medicated shampoo may be required to sit on your dog for up to fifteen minutes before washing out. The drying process also takes time, as it is important that they are completely dry before starting the grooming process.
Thicker and longer coats will require more drying time. Older dogs, and those with special needs will also require more drying time since they can become stressed out by the drying process and need to be dried on a lower speed or need frequent breaks. This is also true for the grooming process. Some older dogs may get tired from standing for so long and need a break.
After a dog is completely bathed and dried, the grooming can begin, which will take approximately 2 hours depending on what needs to be done and the temperament of your dog. A restless or overly excited dog will need more time, as well as those with thicker coats or matting.

I am short on time. Can you groom my dog any faster?
We understand that sometimes things come up that make it so you need your dog groomed quicker. If necessary, we can always do a bath and part trim on their scheduled day and then finish it at a later time.
